Worthy was written as a response to Ephesians 1:9-10 as we considered the questions of “How and why is Jesus worthy? What sets him apart?”
Throughout the song the paradox of Jesus is considered - worthy of all glory and honor but yet leaving his throne to enter into the human story of brokenness and suffering. What kind of king does this? And beyond just identifying with us in suffering, he alone is able to redeem and restore what is broken. This is the King we worship. We hope this song leads you to see the beauty of Jesus and the weight of what it meant for Him to leave his throne to reconcile us and all things to himself!
